Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Thanks flip

He is a bit OTT on the nutrition stuff. He has done some talks after running club. Normally when we have talks we have chips but we are not allowed when he does the nutrition talks!

interesting link hellen. Maybe a bit pompous complaining about having to do his own navigation when he couldn't freeload on those who had bothered to prepare properly and recce, but otherwise a good write up. I agree with him entirely that the food on the event was lousy! A good proportion of my pack weight was down to carrying my own food.

I think the food was better than last year but still needs a bit of work, Braithwaite was great for food though. Boot was poor as it was last year.

Wasdale Head was appalling for food. Mushroom soup or starve?! Not the fuelling I needed for Black Sail pass late at night :-(

It sounds like the food was typical LDWA which is great for a marathon but not good for 100 but what would I know about 100s!!

I actually think it was worse than last year. And last year was poor! Not even bananas at most CPs.

Even braithewaite was unimpressive: stone cold gloopy pasta with a lukewarm sauce dolloped on top.

And to have CPs on baking hot days that did not have any cold drinks options was bordering on loopy.

When you think of the spread they can put on for LDWA type events for a fiver...
