Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Oh and yes it was hot, first outing didn't take enough fluid, lesson learnt, but my tan looks quite good now. LOL

At Coniston too, not surprisingly :-) A marathon after a week of illness and the previous night attached to the toilet seat is an experience and hopefully good HTFU training :-)

There were a number of people around Coniston with 50/100 maps out recce-ing, and some running the marathon too.

You missed a real treat Bez, it was a glorious event. Not the easiest marathon I've ever done, but definitely one of the best :-)

Susie, I'm tanned quite nicely too, if you ignore the ridiculous sock, short, vest and watch stripes! I've got brown bits that are always exposed when I run, pink bits that were exposed for the first time and white bits that I keep hidden. Apparently I look like one of those multicoloured chocolate, strawberry and vanilla ice cream blocks :-)

I was very interested in the Lakeland Trails Marathon but decided it was too close to the Lakeland 50. Turns out it was a good call for me as I am forced to ease back this month with a strain to my inguinal ligament. Glad it went well Kinky. Good training indeed, Flanker :-)

Nice one Flip. Are you still planning on doing the 100 then? Hopefully I'll see you in the campsite on the Friday.

in two minds DogT . It's so near utmb and i took a lot longer to recover from hardmoors which was to be expected on only 6 weeks running . I did really enjoy the run yesterday tho so i'll probably decide the day before. If i don't run i'll be there and may run the last 50 on my own before you lot start so i'm not in the way..

one thing i would saay is read the road book alll the way along if you don't know the course and read every line twice.
