Oh good enjoy 😊 let me know how you get on.

I need some where to brag!

At the end of quite a heavy track and gym session I decided to do some leg press. I've only just reintroduced it ( I did a BIT, and it was a bit) in my early 50s. ) so I'm not sure how heavy to go. I do know my legs and bum are relatively strong.

Two sets of 10 at 72.5kg weren't that hard so I tried 10 reps at 80kg. Fine if a bit tired. Put the results into that calculator Duracel found for us (in side bar) and got my best ever result. Never managed better than intermediate before!

AHEM.

Your Strength Level for Horizontal Leg Press is Advanced ★★★★

We estimate that your one-rep max is 112 kg You're stronger than 83% of female lifters in your age group weighing 52 kg. Your lift is 1.54 times your bodyweight.

Am also big convert to the heavy sledge that you push. Sometimes known as a Growler (don't ask)

It REALLY helps consequent drive outs (sprint starts)

Had total brain death today. Despite being right beside the board I did all the reps wrong in the workout. I did the male cals 21 (18 for women) I then continued to do 21 reps on chest to bar (scaled version on the rack) as I had 21 in my head instead of 15 🙄 I did do all the reps right for the snatches correct though. I struggled today but we all have days where we struggle. I did have a little play on my bench press before going to the gym and got a one rep max of 35kg. I feel there was possibly more there but the only other weights I had to add were 2.5kg or 5kg which I felt would be too much of a jump.

Tried to practice double unders before leaving. I have the jump I just can't add in the rope yet. I feel this one might be a long journey.

That calculator is interesting. Some of the dumb bell stuff I might be intermediate for. Haven't tried anything with a bar yet.

... a weights wire for women.

And in case you're wondering about that title, well, I like alliteration and one can be too po-faced about the use of girl/lady/woman.

Here's a strength standards for women thing Duracel found for us
