I had some Salter electronic scales for ages - nearly 20 years - and only had to replace them when I dropped something on them.

Got something similar by Salter but they failed quite quickly for some reason. Then I read they had a 25 year guarantee. Salter were true to their word and offered a like for like replacement - which I refused as I hadn't had a good experience with that model but I had the option to choose something for the same price or less.
