I know the old saying - you get what you pay for...But I have several pairs of Karrimor shorts that havent survived 3 washes before the letters and pattern start to peel.

I tried google to see if it is a common problem but no hits

Anyone else experience this with this brand of shorts?

Yep. I have lots of Karrimor kit because I can't resist a bargain. It mostly lives in the bottom of the wardrobe while I wear "more expensive" kit over and over again. That old saying is right, unfortunately

I'm mainly moving to Karrimor shorts. I have no complaints. In fact, if the lettering was to peel off, it would be a positive bonus.

My Karrimor shorts aren't as nice as, say, my Brooks shorts, but they are functional. Also they have a large back pocket which is big enough for an iPhone6 which is quite hard to find in other shorts. All in all a 6 out of 10 I would say.

Just bought my first Karrimor shorts last week and ran in them for the first time at the weekend. I needed something with extra pockets and they were a 70% discount in Sports Direct.

They seem very comfortable and no problems with the lettering after being washed either.

I'm still using the first pair I bought back in Aug 2010, they have a small tear on the inside leg bit but otherwise they're still going strong

I'm with DG. Karrimor shorts do the job and wear well - what's not to like? I am not bothered by whatever logo/brand is on the kit and OH is happier with me spending £x for something rather than considerably more for a similar product but has a *cool* logo.

I had a Karrimor t-shirt once that quickly stunk as soon as I started running in it however well it was washed. I haven't brought any more Karrimor gear since

another vote for the logo coming off is a bonus!!

I have a few pairs and the pockets are large... and the waistbands are good...

(and i do like their long sleeved, non compression type tops for a winter layer... )

70% off is nonsense tho, they aren't reduced to that, they just are that, it's all terribly complicated and sport direct small print sales/RRP price etc....

Still about 200% cheaper than most and 75% as good in my opinion... so worth it.
