Went to see a knee specialist and he confirmed I have ITBS along with some swelling of the fatty tissue in the knee as well. Having physio and then having an injection (what of I have no idea) in my knee and then see how that goes over the next couple of months

i have had steroid injections in both my knees......fantstic,I was pain free and my physio has been great.Could do with seeing him this week but he is being a physio at the Olympics.Had a second injection in one knee this afteroon, the other one is fine. For me it seems to be working all though it has been a long journey, nearly a year now.But that is my own fault for not dealing with it sooner.I can cycle but still not able to run very much.

I had agonising ITB pain for years, which usually kicked in afeter I'd run about 12 miles, but often sooner. The pain was so bad that my knee would just buckle underneath me, it was awful

I tried everything, physio, massage, acupuncture, foam roller, ibuprofen, strapping, chi running, different shoes etc etc.

After much resistance, I got some orthotics, as suggested by my sports massage therapist and now I can run pretty much pain free :)

I've got an ITB roller which helped mine loads..interesting the physio suggested I give up my orthotics to see if that helps.....but I'm too scarred!

I would NEVER give up my orthotics! Ran the NDW100 with no ITB pain at all!

Got something to say?
