Is it just me or is there a distinct lack of long races in the build up to Autumn marathons?

If you're further south then I will be organising an 18 - 20 miler in the Surrey area on the first weekend in Sept. Price around £10 but no medal, t shirt etc, but there will be chocolate at the end..:-)

I see Dunstable isn't marshalled or marked. That makes it a definite no for me since I can't navigate to save my life and want to run without carrying anything. Also I have no idea where Dunstable is!

Surrey is quite far, but I know some people down there so could be a possibility.

Is it part of the 30 miler on the same day? I'm a bit scared by the thing that says map and compass optional. I cannot navigate! Plus I'll be running at pace so no time for consulting maps. Although if it's multi lap surely after I've done it once I'll be OK... I'd be doing 8 miles slow then 12@ MP most likely.
