More good stuff. There are a couple that I don't know and will only be able to listen to when I'm not in the office - I'll give my thoughts when I can!

Sally Allyson from Hem. Such a warmth in her voice. I just played this and, actually, was in tears as soon as she started singing (which was a bit alarming).

In a similar, but perhaps more careworn vein, Margo Timmins from Cowboy Junkies. I reckon that a lot of their material fell short of their potential, but The Caution Horses is more than worth a listen.

A couple of others, who tbh you probably wouldn't want an eight year old basing their technique on: Mary Margaret O'Hara, who recorded only one, extraordinary, proper album, Miss America; and Katherine Joseph.

On another tack, and a bit more technicquey, try Anna Järvinen. The below probably isn't the most representative of her, but it's quite rare to hear a Cocteau Twins cover, much less in Swedish.

[to be fair a lot of strange stuff get's clipped into my work OneNote 'day book' - on today's page there's also a picture of G Callen in his leather jacket from late season 10 NCIS Los Angeles. I have jacket envy]

* Sally Ellyson (autocorrect, grr). Whilst I'm back, Scottish singer Rachel Sermanni. She's been following an interesting path.

Birdy.

Not, just a random word. She also has a good voice.

On the back of this thread, I now have Paloma playing in my office (Governor not in today).
