May I suggest a restaurant that is just the dogs. Solera at 216 East 53rd St is absolutely fantastic and the head waiter runs the marathon every year, so you get great crack with him. The Tapas is simply out of this world. You shouldn't miss this one, if your in NY. Honestly, I'm not on commission ![]() |

Just got mine through too. It all seems very close now. It may seem a silly suggestion but have you thought about one of those food flasks for your porridge MF - keeps food warm for 6 hours - or is it too much hassle to take it to the start area? I'm sticking to my fav pre run DorsetCereal muesli - have ordered a set of their100g variety packs from the website . |

Jigs
Got our registration cards/ flight etickets in the post today. Still haven't booked airport parking yet! A little peed off about bus pick-up at 4am! then kicking our heels for 5+ hrs and eating ceral bars for brekky ![]() Is there any shelter at the start village? or are we open to the elements? |

Jigs, according to the map of the start areas, there's some large tents to shelter under, but that's not 100% I got that from a spreadsheet link in the NY article that Contro created. |

Unless it has changed then I'm afraid you are pretty much open to the elements. There is hot water at the start so you could mix your porridge there. |
