Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Ooh, I also read in the book that there is a firework display in Central Park on Saturday night at 7.30pm, where the finish line is! Could be fun?

Who knows really what the plan is the night before a marathon ?

From my experience ( having done around 20 )
It's best to enjoy however you want to relax - I know of people who hwve even had a beer/ wine or two the night before and still got a best time - my incentive is a hip flask of ardbeg whisky at the end in my bag !!!!
That helped me to my best ever time in London this year !
Cheers !!!!

Contro - I agree with you re the beer.... you know that pasta party on the Saturday night in Tavern on the Green? Well........ in 2006..... THERE WAS FREE BEER!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) Try taking the smile off an Irish woman's face when she stood out in the cold for half an hour with big burly New Yorkers insisting that we all "stay in line" as we froze... then once inside we were given heaps of pasta, bread, fruit, icre cream, water and BEEEEEEEEEEEEER - rather like Homer heading in to Moe's!!! That pasta party was in the entry fee.. the fireworks were good too.. nothing outlandish like Beijing Opening and Closing ceremonies but.. they were good.... (Goes away with green eyed jealous monster syndrome) HAVE A GREAT TIME EVERYBODY, ENJOY IT, PARTY THE 26.2 MILES, it's one I have to do again!!
