Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

in 06 we met at the bleachers near finish line on day before mara at columbus circle - right beside subway station at entrance to central pk - found it a good place to meet - would suggest that..

Hi, is anyone out there going to NY with 2.09 events? If so, are you going to their training day this Saturday (13th) at Kingston?

Hello Mrs Jigs...have just received the joining info for Saturday and it looks like it will be a good day - especially as I am a novice to the NY marathon. I'll let you know all about it. Have you used 2.09 before?

Any ideas what to do for those of us who are strict about what we eat before races? Porridge is a must for me about two hours pre run, but this doesn't seem to be an option what with the early buses to the start. I'm not going to be eating doughnuts before I run, that's for sure!

can't you take your porridge in a thermos? and then you can eat once you are dropped by the bus?

My wife's just mentioned that funnily enough, guess it's as good a solution as I'm going to get and not a bad idea at all.
