I don't recall too many problem hills, the bridge that leads into Manhattan (Can't recall which it is) was the one that hurt me most I think, up until Central Park when I pretty much ran on instinct alone and can't remember too much of it!
Really jealous of everyone doing it, would love to have another go. The morning can be VERY cold so make sure you wrap up. I made the mistake of not taking too much because I didn't really have anything I was happy with throwing away. I could still access my bag though some ten minutes before I was due to start, so had I realised that I'd have taken something warmer. That's the worst part of it all but once you get going, it's simply amazing.
The first ten miles gave me the biggest high of my entire life, the support was just unreal.

Oh, and one other word of warning. I also got caught up so much in it all that I was accepting bananas and other things along the route from the supporters which ended up repeating on me and giving me serious stitches after mile 16. Only eat what you're used to! It's the one thing I'd do differently next time.

Thanks for the tips, been to NYC before, so I know the last bit through the park is hilly, as are the bridges - was told First Avenue is also uphill, but expecting to get a buzz from getting into Manhatten so I'm hoping that will help! Usually buy a cheap sacraficial hoody and if it's really cold some gloves that I can ditch at the start, been saving my didn't get into London tent (jacket so big you could fit two people into it!) specially for the occasion too! Gonna be my first marathon, can't wait! Even signed up for the international parade thing on the Saturday night! Don't have a number yet cos we're going with 2:09 events, get them later in the month I believe.

I trust you realise that 4 weeks of Ibuprofen washed down with Lemsip will more than likely kill you? Just stick to the wine! Good luck with the recovery.
