Mrs Jigs (Luverlylegs)
Hi mr g :-) Jigs and I did it in 2008, we went with 2:09 events, guaranteed place plus they organise flights and accommodation, pricey but worth it in my opinion. :-)

We used the other company Sports Tours in 2007 to do it the same way as Mr and Mrs Jigs. Definitely recommended as well, All we had to do was present ourselves at Heathrow and all transfers etc were taken care of by ST.

mr guinness - you are very close to getting a guaranteed entry by your times - go run a couple of minutes faster over the half marathon distance and you can qualify. Then you can make your own arrangements.

Just been on the website and logged in and got my guaranteed place :)
Finally after 3 years of rejections I'll get to run NY!

Now to make sure I don't have a really crap run.

Where's the best place to stay anyway?
Choice of either the Times Square that involves a walk down to the library, or say the Hilton at the WTC site and a few min walk to the Staten Island ferry from there which may mean not getting up quite so early.
I have to specify a bus time don't I or are they flexible with these?

Boing!!

Just thinking about NY again (2011 not this year) and wondered like Scott where I would be best to stay, both in terms of getting to the start and staggering back after it's done.

Although probably location for the start would be more important

i stayed at the Sofitel on 42nd - 200 yards from times square very luxurious but rather wasted on me.

I stayed at the Travel Inn (I think) on 42nd W, great location and the room was comfortable enough, although I hardly spent any time in there. Would love to do this one again.
