Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

:-) :-( :-p

All the emotions I'm feeling. After a FREEXING cold wait for the start, I felt great and then at mile 2, a bloody stitch. It came and went for the next ten miles, I ran the first half 3 minutes ahead of shedule and at 15 I thought sub 3:15 was nailed on. Then the stitch really hit me hard at 16, I had to get a medical person to rub it but no good. The last ten miles were sheer hell, so painful, but although I knew sub 3:15 was out, sub 3:30, which was always my main aim, was still on if I plugged away.

How I got through the last three miles I'll never know, I had to spend 20 minues in the medical tent after but I'm back at the hotel and fine, and very proudly clutching my medal.

Will blog later or tomorrow. Well done to all the other Fetchies.

well done all Fetchies, including Paula, in NY today.

Anyone know if there are any video highlights available anywhere on the web or elsewhere?

Watched Paula on EuroSports Two and she blew the opposition away... ;-)

However the Brazilian? Santos in the Mens Event was awesome to be 7 seconds behind with a mile to go and then blitz the Moroccan to win.... in my dreams ;-)
