well would be good to have a friend supporting ... no pressure :-), although my brother will be there. But that will be a special marathon for me, my fifth and final major for 2008!!

contro, heard it's tough and you can forget about negative splits - I'll be doing it for the experience more than anything else. we're staying in the new york helmsley. if you're looking for cheap accomodation (relatively speaking) try booking an apartment - someone posted a link on on of these earlier pages - comes in around $90 per night per studio apt in manhattan - includes maid service ! can't go too far wrong with that !!

sorry contro, my mistake check out the link newyorkapartments.ie around $90 based on 3 sharing. Still a great deal. Just not as great as $80 per night. |

ok $90 a night sharing is a good deal ... BUT there is always a but, the cheap ones there is a minimum stay of 7 days
