I'm currently enjoying having got through 4 x 2k @ 1:57 or better. During it I was wondering how bad actual death would be in comparison!

Lesley: just keep chipping away and try to get a bit more done each time and before you know it.....

The joys of a 31 day month Muttley.

Well done Lesley, keep up the good work! I'll probably join the challenge too, I might make it to the first castle 😂

Nice work Nellers, those sessions are horrible while you're actually doing them (especially when you've still got like 2.5 reps to go) but I bet you felt good after you finished 💪

Finally managed to get some metres done today for this month. A garden makeover got in the way the past few days. Filling raised beds is back-breaking work and call me a wimp but I just didn't fancy the erg afterwards.

Well done Muttley, sounds like you've been getting enough physical exercise from your gardening without jumping on the erg as well!

Bit of a Mish mash of sessions for me today - a bit short of time this morning so I decided to do 12', 10' etc down to 2', I did the 12' @1:58 then didn't fancy the rest of it.

Annoyed with myself I decided to do some 1k reps, I only managed 3.

Thought I'd finish with 3k @r20, after 1k I decided to cruise in at r24.
Then when I got home this afternoon I did a steady-ish 5k.

So although nothing went to plan, looking back I guess 15k at various paces isn't a bad days training.

Happy Easter everyone!

Thanks, Craggy. Happy Easter to everyone from me too.

Craggy - I wish my mish mash sessions were as productive as yours!

Tentative return to the erg for me today after a rough couple of weeks following my first Covid jab.

Now watching the boat race (sadly only on TV), which is taking place a couple of miles down the road/river from me. Really looking forward to getting on the same stretch of water myself on Tuesday, as I’ve enrolled for a learn to row course with the local club. Been waiting since autumn 2019 for this to take place, so it had better live up to expectations!

Hope you feel better soon CW, my HR was high for a few days following the jab.

Thanks for the heads up re the boat race, I'd forgotten about that but just switched it on.

Hope you enjoy your learn to row course on Tuesday you've had a long wait! Will look forward to hearing how you get on as I signed up to a course with Boston Rowing Club last July but they've been on hold due to Covid, hopefully it'll happen soon.

Down here in deepest darkest Cornwall, gig racing is the thing. There must be a club locally because I've seen boats in the harbour and the estuary. Must check it out sometime, looks fun.

Nice session (?) Craggy. ;-)

I'm quite jealous CW. There doesn't seem to be any kind of rowing clubs near me. Nearest I think are docklands so 30+ miles away and in That London so not an easy drive.

I missed the Boat Race. Forgot it was on and was watching a film. Switched on just as the men had finished!

Hope you get to go on a course soon, Craggy. I was surprised the local club here is running them so soon after restrictions have lifted, but perhaps they're trying to capitalise on interest raised by the boat race.

Muttley, the gig racing does look fun, though I guess conditions might be quite challenging at times!

Nellers, that's a real shame and a bit surprising there are no clubs closer to you. 30 miles into London would really test your commitment!
