Mine doesn’t have training age under the health stats, but I’m guessing that’s because my watch doesn’t show/guess/have that function..

I've done a lot of walking recently and ran 3.4 miles this morning. Hopped on the scales to find I've gained 2lb.

Something isn't right. Google seems to suggest that other men who have had the same surgery as me have put on between 7-25lb. No explanation from GPs or urologists either which isn't helpful.

My Garmin is a few years old, Forerunner 45, found my 'fitness age' under the VO2 heading. It says my fitness age is 20, just shows how ridiculous the assumptions made are. 🤣

Surrey Phil- well that's really unhelpful info re the average weight gain.

I wouldn't worry, Shades. The surgery I had was male-specific.

I have a Forerunner 45 too. I know my VO2 is 42 which is good but can't seem to locate my fitness age. My maximum heart rate this morning was 175 and has been 182-184 which is dangerously high. Hopefully, the fitness age might be worth finding just to give me some sort of confidence boost.

Surrey Phil - I looked at the Garmin Connect app on my phone. Under Health Stats clicked on VO2 ( mine also says 42) and underneath it had my fitness age.

Yes, I realise your surgery was male specific but still very annoying for you that you can't find any reason for the so called average weight gain.

Thanks Shades.

VO2 is now 43 - still 'good.' It says that I am in the top 25% for my age and gender. Fitness age is 34, so quite happy with that.
