But if councils are to put up lights and if shops are to decorate their premises, I would make it compulsory to mention the word 'Christmas' in what they were doing, and not be afraid to mention it. except the mentioning of the Fetch Festive Calendar, of course!

It will be doubly illegal for the new version to be more sentimental, and doubly illegal on top of that if the song is question is in any sense a Christmas song.
