Thanks all. Run on a friend's farm so zero chance of being run over and I'm at the stage where listening to music tricks my brain into thinking I'm not exercising. Once it's a more normal activity the aids might be ditched.

Wriggling Snake
If you are running around the countryside on a farm. Why on earth would you want to clamp your gead insideca set of head phones. Set yourself free. Get the very cheapestbwatch you can. Garmin 110 myself. Less than 40 quid in a sale in the third year of her life. I say her it is in female colouring. So i was told. |

Maybe a cheapy option would be sensible, but I do like buying stuff. I've lived away from civilisation for nearly 20 years and love it, appreciate my surroundings every day, but the music is a distraction (and sometimes a jog-a-long to a tune) until I learn to enjoy jogging.
