Is anyone else taking part in this Saturday's events? Resolution Runners are doing a red, white and blue run and I imagine lots of parkruns will take part. I know it's easy to scoff at these things but I do think it's a great idea. I particularly like that ITV are switching off with a 'We've gone running, why not join us' message.

Disappointingly little else happening in this area. Launch of a junior bike club at a nearby facility and I could get a free swim if I go to Glasgow. No chance to, say, try handball or even throw a javelin.

CumbriAndy Aug 2016 7:11pm, 23 Aug 2016 1,113 posts	0 CumbriAndy Am I the only person in the country who had heard absolutely nothing at all about this until our parkrun ED got sent a small box of branded tat last week? I believe we're expected to hang some bunting, blow up balloons and hand out stickers. There's only a couple of crap T-shirts in the box. I've no idea what else, if anything, we're doing that will be out of the ordinary - we did our Olympic themed event to coincide with the opening ceremony.
