Trying to do one half a month next spring, as training for Endure 24 in June. Doing Wokingham in February (third time in, might actually run it this time!) and now looking at March. Obviously, being down south and it being close to London in April, there are a billion (approx) options. All the below are within 40 minutes drive with the exception of White Horse, but that is still gettable.

I could just go on price (Surrey is more than twice the price of White Horse!) but I am sure many of you have done some of these so any advice would be welcome. I don't mind if the course is flat or hilly, I will just be there to clock up another Half race and to run around a new place:

Surrey Half - 8th March
Reading Half - 22nd March
Brooklands Half - 22nd March
Richmond - 22nd March
Fleet - 22nd March
White Horse - 29th March
Hampton Court Palace - 29th March

Any opinions welcome :-)

Bath would be lovely, but a stretch to far. The solution would be to stay over, but budget won't be able to stretch to that.

One vote for White Horse and one vote for "not asking santababy again"...

I've done Reading and enjoyed it very much. The highlight of course being running into the stadium at the end and pretending that you're in the olympics.

Reading is the only one of those I've done. It was good, but it's one of those BIG races. The White Horse does sound nice, there's a nice pub near me with the same name (not that I've been in it for several years, now I come to think of it). The Surrey is expensive and not the most interesting of routes (Guildford to Woking?). Fleet is very popular. Know nothing about Brooklands or Richmond ones. I love Hampton Court, so would be tempted by that one.

Advice from the ignorant, there. HTH
