I know a guy, set out to do the marathon, first guys round were directed the wrong way, FOUR times, ended up back at the half marathon point and after 14 miles decided to take 5th place in the Half. Not quite the full marathon he thought he was going for. Serious issues. I've seen the medal, its very poor, some writing on the ribbon and something a bit more bespoke would be nice.
