The 'how was your' stable is burgeoning inexorably:

How was your swim today?

how was your Race today

How was your run today?

How was your bike today?

It was only a matter of time before this one appeared. I predict 'How was your bunion today?' will be here by the end of the week.

Shall I start? 'My wire' is, for good or ill, 'Smell'. It is fairly quiet today. Main topics are how quickly the 'January resolution mob' have dispersed from our swimming pools this year, and the PoDder's Danish adventures over the weekend.

'How was Puddinton's blog today' could be a winner, too ninja

"How was your navel examination" is most likely the next one. "What was the fluff like", being the follow-up question.

'How was your fluff today?' has a good ring to it, certainly.

How was your breakfast today?

I've had some chocolate buttons and a packet of crisps. This is not typical.

I shall never forget that "inexorably" had to be translated into Latin by "such that it could be moved by no prayers" which was something like "ut a nullis orationibus moveretur".

I always associate 'burgeoning inexorably' with the second most pretentious opening to a text book I have ever seen - "The use of computers is burgeoning inexorably'".

This has only been trumped by "as every schoolboy knows, a metal is a solid with a fermi surface".
