Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Set off but cut it short because my toothache was killing me and it seems worse when I run.

I went out for about 50 min trail-run in about 1C. I didn't appreciate that the cold ground would refreeze so much meltwater so there was a lot more ice than I expected, and I regretted not wearing spiked shoes.

As I ran over the bottom end of a town xc ski trail I saw an ambulance in the way so had to divert round. I've no idea how it could drive onto the trail. Someone must have fallen, which I could easily believe, so I took extra care until I reached normal gritted pavement.

Tomorrow is a threshold run. I will definitely be wearing spikes again.

10 miles to HR mainly along chesterfield canal. Head torch on last few miles which makes the canal a different place.
Strength work and yoga before going to work

Hope the toothache gets resolved

Recent rain round the Crosby lakes has chaned most of them from trails to cross country - oh, and not the so-called cross country that the recent European Champs used.

10pm Dry, breezy, a few stars. Slack water. At least the dockside trail & beach were dry! 61 min.
