Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

9 miles in a wind tunnel - If it's not torrential rain it's bloody gales, oh the joy of living in Norfolk ;-)

Nothing today yet, but yesterday's 8 miler in the Northamptonshire countryside was fab. Wet and windy, but the sort of run that reminds how much fun running is. I need to move to the country.

Pitiful effort at Ribble Valley 10k. I'd originally marked it as a sub 40 target event, but training has been so lax for the last couple of months I doubt I went sub 44. Frankly pissed off with myself, and need a good kicking back into action.

Brilliant run today! 8 miles @ 6:56 pace and felt fine.

First 2 miles I was caught in hail - but I didn't mind that.. and set into a good rhythm quickly.
2-4 miles had a bit more country and mud.. but was shifting and churned out an effortless 6:49 mile.
4-6 miles had a lot more elevation - but was rolling 7 minute/miling up the hills and still feeling pretty good.
6-8 miles I needed a wee so I really wanted to get back by then - quite undulating but returned home feeling fresh and ready to go again.

Best long run I've ever done I think.
