In tribute to the anniversary of Bannister's first sub four minute mile (6th May - this Friday) I'm challenging runners to test themselves over the iconic distance with #RunYourMile. We're often so focussed on clocking up the miles that we've never given a thought to running a mile flat out. When I first ran the mile distance after being inspired by the 60th anniversary (2014) I found it exhilarating - a surprisingly challenging distance. Indeed. PB 6.33 which is pants! I should have a go at beating that, if you get the pacing wrong, it all goes out of the window very quickly.

Great table. I see the leader on the1k biking table "claims" to have done it in 4 seconds. Unless in a tornado jet fighter this seems unlikely. Like another site ( whose name begins with S and sounds like something that comes out of a volcano) - we should be able to "flag" dodgy performances and remove them from any leagues.

I had to run a 6.06 as lead runner of Monday's Superhero race to stay ahead of Ironman - a positive as I have entered a mile race in August with a 6 minute cut off !!
