We're often so focussed on clocking up the miles that we've never given a thought to running a mile flat out. When I first ran the mile distance after being inspired by the 60th anniversary (2014) I found it exhilarating - a surprisingly challenging distance. Unless in a tornado jet fighter this seems unlikely. Like another site ( whose name begins with S and sounds like something that comes out of a volcano) - we should be able to "flag" dodgy performances and remove them from any leagues.
