You are in the zone in that pic FR. My only run since the fling was a 6 mile hilly club session where I took it really easy. Finally got back in to my high heels for work today so legs are back to normal. I remember Santa at Inversnaid telling me to use the portaloo instead of the posh hotel toilets! |

I did a 20, 33 back to back 3weeks before the fling. And by back to back the 20 was in the morning and the 33 was that night.

I'm sure that having several hours off during the day made all the difference Mike. My longest runs in 2014 were a 30 miler in January (whw training w/e), 18 miles a couple of times (Feb/April), plus the D33 (March). With less than 25 miles a week averaged over the previous six months, that explains why I was an hour slower for my Flng this year. Yup, that training does make a difference. For a more sensible answer to Stoosh, my better race results have come from just over 40 miles a week, with every run just being longer - a week of 10 to 15 mile runs on most days - but it all comes down to finding/making the time with everything else in life.   |

My training has pretty much consisted of one long run a week. And the gym/cycling. Perhaps that explains why I'm so slow!

There was chat on FB about whether it would be same weekend as VLM next year Scott. Think that's the place for latest info. G

That's so early - why would they change it so drastically? If they do then I will be in New York for work, which would be a terrible shame

Hmm, well there's no point in speculating I guess. We'll know soon enough. In other news I've finally pulled my finger out and finished my race report - redwinerunner.co.uk |
