Advice noted... no crawling!

I had already worked out that theoretically a fast walk would get me to the finish on time (the issue of slowing down for the scramble along the lochside and the hilly bit near the end means I do have to run the flat/ downhill parts though!).

The plan is to walk anything uphill and run anything else as far as I can. Whatever it takes to get to the finish, failure not an option! :-)

I've done G2E the last 2 years, did better the second time, and was still able to run in the last 5 miles- overtook a few folk right at the end, but suffered a nasty toenail departure about 10miles before the end, which certainly slowed me a bit.
I am assuming that my Fling time will be about 3 hours slower than my G2E time! ( Especially after floundering around out on the WHW today at about 15 min miles average pace!).
