Stander
Personally in hot weather I swear by my Fetch buff. Not only does it keep sun off head but when you tip water over your head it takes a lot longer for it to run off/dry and therefore end up with cooler head for longer.

Stander I have a very thin white hat I was hoping to do the same with that. If I get too hot in it, I will have family on route to give it too.

I just did 12 along the ed marathon course and it was 25+ degrees with little to no wind, so no helping breeze off the river, and very humid. I took a 660 mil sis bottle of half water half lucozade with ice cubes, which melted in about half an hour leaving me with warm drink, which is ok. Normally I wouldn't take anything to drink unless going over about 18 mile, but I took a mouthful at the first mile and then just sipped it as my mouth dried. I wore a bright light coloured shirt which covered the shoulders, factor 50 sun cream, cap, shades, insect repellent. I ran a little slower than normal pace then after the run ate two packets of crisps and a glass of pepsi, crisps for the salt and pepsi for the sugar. Think the important thing is not to gulp down water, you have to replace the salt and other stuff you lose, and go a bit slower.
