posty johnI have had hip pain for a while . I have a job which involves walking 10 miles plus and the hip slowly gets worse. I am still running and it tends to ease after a few miles but returns the day after. Any tips on stretching it out . I have been doing pirifomas stretch

becca7It's hard to say as there are quite a few muscles in the hip area and tightness in one can be caused by weakness in another and can in turn lead to other muscles becoming tight. As well as the piriformis it's worth doing a more general hip stretching routine such as this one.
However it's best to see a physio to try and identify the underlying cause.
