Silent Runner
Thanks Chrisull, I'd forgotten about Blackbird, though I did watch it and remember reading at the time that it was his final part; and yes, Liotta was excellent in it.

"Let Him Go"

This one was on Netflix. Kev Costner and Diane Lane lose their only son tragically, and his wife re-marries to an absolute abusive perisher, who immediately decamps without warning, taking Kev and Diane's ex DIL and grandson with him. Diane is pretty pissed off at the thought of her only link with her deceased son being brought up by a domestic abuser, so she and Kev set off across country with an ill-defined plan to get the wee nipper back.

This was pretty good, with Kev doing his Laconic Cowboy act and Di as his implacable wife, who runs up against matriarch Lesley Manville, playing a screaming mad, back-country nutter. (Bit of a change from Princess Mags in "The Crown" - or is it?)

Definitely worth catching.

I used part of this for my assessment last year. Lesley Manville is brilliant in it.

Only 13. It's a very Film Critic list isn't it?
