Some very wet trailers this week. A Man Not Called Ove with Mr Hanks looks particularly worth avoiding.

Ray Liotta's final TV part was the Apple TV series Blackbird, though which is highly recommended. I thought it would be normal prison/salacious true crime/serial killer fare - a "true story" about a crook persuaded to befriend and rat out a serial killer in exchange for a commuted sentence, but the reviews made me give it a go, and actually it was excellent, the last two episodes in particular, the one devoted to one of the victims in her voice, without mentioning her murder was really moving and out of step with the normal portrayal of victims. Liotta is excellent as the father in it. If you start it, warning it starts slow and generically, watch to the end.

Agree with Chrisull about the Apple TV series Blackbird, especially the way it gave voice to the victims. Stunning performances from the two central actors, and Ray Liotta too.
