Watched Promising Young Woman last night; really surprised to see it streaming as part of our NowTV £3.99 monthly deal.

A real cracker; Mulligan is great as ever, the plot reveals nicely and whilst some of it goes exactly where you'd expect it twists nicely too.

I saw it reviewed on Film Review and it looks great. Mulligan is always good. :-) G

I got a good deal on NowTV at the start of lockdown - been paying £3.99 a month, expires next month. And I didn't have to pay any more for PMY, it was just included in the package, presumably as it's a Sky Cinema funded film. Was surprised though to be able to watch an Oscar nom'd flick before the Oscars on a subscription service at no extra cost.

Really worth a watch though; probably best if you don't know the plot, but saying that my wife nearly left the room as the first 5 minutes make it look like a very different film.

Are we still doing our clever, 1 line reviews in the Wiki over there --->>

I need to put one in for Coherence (2013)
Relatively low budget indie horror (or more mystery perhaps) shocks - yes, it's a horror movie with a brain! :-) G

Out of interest, who's taking interest in the Oscars tonight? I've always thought they were over rated, yet I can't help crossing my fingers for the Brits.

Watched Nomadland yesterday. Enjoyable to see the scenery of the US. I’d recently rewatched Easy Rider which has a similar backdrop.

I hope Nomadland was better than the book ... that was a yawnfest and I can't really imagine how they made a film out of it, far less an Oscar winning one.

Nomadland appears to be included in my Disney+ / Star subscription so may get to watch that in the next couple of weeks.
