Has anyone been trying the "Sleepcasts"? I'm finding them quote a pleasant way to switch off and drift off.

I tend to play some calming music before I go to bed, some ambient Brian Eno or whatever; that's usually enough to get me to drift off. (I know, it's fiddling with your phone, which is supposed to be bad for sleep, but it works for me.)

Although, I see they're advertising Headspace on YouTube again, made me curious about this thread. I am not sure I need any more calmness in my life, but I might try the app anyway.

I'm a big fan of the sleep sounds (never tried the casts). Some of them don't work for me, but with trial and error I've got a shortlist of favs I use most nights.

the Sleepcasts are kind of sleepsounds with a narration. It starts off with a wind-down meditation then goes into a visualisation of some sort (eg. a tour of Snowville, the wonders of a starry sky by the Desert Campfire). I'm finding it helpful at the mo as sleep hasn't been easy over Xmas etc.

Haven't got a clue who does it. It's not the normal Headspace bloke (Andy) but there are at least 2 different voices used.
