I hope you didn't attach a photo, JB.

I like the famous prof story. Does history record what happened next - did he reply??

"Does history record what happened next - did he reply??"

I've got to be a little careful what I say here. He was very good about the email - he actually forwarded it to me saying, "I suppose this was intended for you." But he was very bad about the review, and effectively blackmailed my friend into making a reparation that wasn't due (it's a long story).

Ten years later, though, we're all still friends. Sort of!

Years ago...I sent a text to my sister to telling her I thought my housemate was hot.... only I sent it to him.

Worked in my favour though!

I've been slagged off on the phone, I had a call at work the bloke was calling from his vans hand free kit and when the conversation finished he didn't press the end call button, he then went on to slag me off and when he stopped I just said "you've just proved my point, your that fucking thick your incapable of pressing the end call button you ****" It went very quiet then the phone went dead :)

I'm sure we've all been here at some point. I'll never forget the moment I got that reply saying "You didn't have to call me a 'monster' :("

"Eh... no, I meant to text my mate about someone at work... honest..."

The closest I've come is saying uncircumspect things about someone who had put me through the mill emotionally to a person I *thought* I could trust and who actively encouraged me to confide, only for the person I thought I could trust to go and become all friendy-friendy with the person I'd said the uncircumspect things about. But I hadn't said anything I wouldn't have said to the mad cow's face anyway.

If some of my former colleagues - The Lady, or Dr Chocolate Teapot, or Lay-Zee-Boy - read my Fetch blogs and recognised themselves ... oh, I SO hope :P

no, although i seriously embarrassed myself by putting a jokey comment to someone's facebook status, but i put it on the wrong status, one that was a sad one about a friend's death. i felt so awful and you can't delete them. just had to put another comment on apologising. ugh!

Years ago I was in the middle of two very good friends going through a separation........A, my female friend was seeing someone else and S, her husband was coming round to see me to talk about "things"
I texted "A" and said.....Does "S" know you went out for a meal with "mystery other bloke" last night.........pressed send then immediately realised i'd sent it to "S"
"S" coming round very quickly turned into "S" giving me his wedding ring to give to "A" oooooooooooooooooops

BUT they are both now much happier married to other people so guess it worked out in the end ...that's my story adn i'm sticking to it!
