Ah. 'Smell' is the triathlon wire, although a lot of us are either retired or never were triathletes in the first place. It is horribly self-absorbed and camper than a row of tents, and uses the word 'poof' as a general response when nothing witty or appropriate springs to mind. Bless.

I'm sure I will pick up on these things eventually lol
Doing the Gauntlet as I wanted to do something "fun and dirty" instead of constantly pounding the streets,
and not think about getting a good time or placing in my age category..only happened once lol
Tried "trial" at the Brentwood running festival by running the Half and didn't like the course/laps...so not sure if that is for me.

Don't let one possibly bad race put you off.
Beauty about this site - and this thread in particular - is that you'll get feedback on what are good and bad races before you enter them.
