Sheffield Half on 8th May, woke up this morning with sore thoat, OH has had cold for the past week I tried to stay away from him lol. I fear I may be starting with it, I have been taking vit C and zinc and now sniffing on first defence, anybody got any other ideas, do you think I have got enough time to recover, 10 days, I have really trained well this time, gutted, any help/opinions would be great

I would like to take the piss, but that would be a little hypocritcal after my pre brighton madness. 10 days to recover from a cold is more than enough, you could probably grow another limb in that period of time if need be! |

Oh I hope so, I am quite worried as every cold I have had in the past has turned into a chest infection. I havnt had a cold for the past 3 years! Has any of you used first defence? Does it work or have I wasted my money?

It's actually good timing. If you had a cold when putting in the most intensive training it would have been a big proble,m but since you should be cutting down your mileage now anyway, so as to be fresh for the race, you should be coming back to full fitness and fully rested at just the right time!
