SB - the fact remains it's a checkpointed race. Straight lining on open ground is fair game if the rules dont state it's a disqualifable offence.- IMO. Obviously not in others.
And last year it was only a 2 min pen for missing 1 dibber, to get DisQ'ed you needed to miss 2
i'm off for half mile reps. I'll be back to see how abused I'm getting latter. At least I'm honest about cutting out Ednesor.

It IS the same thing when it is clear the route must be adhered to. Don't ask me, ask the organisers. I'm not *that* bothered anyway, refer to my earlier post... There was nothing obtuse about my post.
The dibber thing annoyed me this year for obvious reasons...

I suspect that in the race organisors opinion, ie the only opinion that matters in these circumstances, the cutting of corners would not be 'fair game'.
I doubt they state that 'all competitors must follow this route' for mere shits and giggles. If it was a checkpointed race where you could follow whatever route A. it would say so on the instructions and B. people mostly wouldn't be running the route at all.
But I'm glad you are proud of your dishonest race tactics, Pabsey. Good for you. Whatever.
