Was Edensor the place with the gennel and the steps behind the yew tree? I know there was a cattle grid cos I thought it was a checkpoint cos of the tape. Brain was going earlier than I thought clearly.

Yeah that's the one. I remember the steps but couldn't quite place them.
And the cage/gate thing is just before Baslow?

That gate was something of a mental challenge at that point. We got a bit laughed at by an old lady.

yes quite agree, I also had alot of tough decisions to make at gates, do I wait and hold the gate for the runner behind me, is he too far away, is it a little impolite, all very tough when there is a lack of oxygen to the brain.....lol

I just got through it then turned it for the next runner and ran on. I stopped for a gel at the Baslow stop - shouldn't have done that...
I think I will be practising that climb from Baslow - I need to be able to run it all...

Roo, I was only 500 yards behind you and Slowboy at that gate. I did think that you were very rude for not holding and waiting for me.
Did anyone else stop at the jam and maramalade table in the grounds of somewhere or other. Not sure where it was but I got some very strange looks as I swanned up looking for cake and tea only to discover price stickers on the jars :O
