Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Stella, I would be a touch annoyed in your situation too.

Stella, yes that's all there is for it mate. We'll give it large portions of "what for" next year and get a good sub 3 apiece:-)

Yes thanks, the calf feels fine now. Got a bit of DOMS after 17 yesterday but will probably run easy tomorrow :-) Have a good one at the club!

Easy answer is to move the checkpoints to Bakewell Station & Endesor & marshals at other possible cheat places. (didnt they do that at the busy road section around mile 5/6).

Still a great race though.

I also witnessed someone shortcutting it at Bakewell station and he was wearing a club vest.

Criptic clue - not very bright mountain summit (4, 4) will tell you which club vest he was wearing. :o

I think Hendo's comment summed up perfectly the correct attitude...

"if you're going to do it (the Grindleford Gallop) you might as well to it properly"

I can't see the point of cutting corners - I wouldn't do it on a road race...

Anyway, looking forward to next year.

Ian, I was assuming that they'd be adding the penalties later - the results are only 'preliminary' so far. Unfortunately you were just a bit too far ahead of me to hear me shout out "checkpoint" to some others who had missed it. Hope you're not completely DQ'd.

I did see some corner-cutting at Edensor, and felt a tad annoyed. Pabsey - that's got to have saved you at least 4 minutes, right? ;-)
