Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I was going to show up at various checkpoints along the route, but then someone had to mention *chips*......

I may be around to wish you well at the end and steal cake.....

Decided on the HiTec Radar's for Saturday (mostly probably get blisters - but what the hell!)

Road shoes rejected cos' (maybe) lack of traction on some parts.

MudRocs rejected cos' too much non-trail.

Wise decision FR, especially after the rain over the week-end.

As well as that FR even on fairly hard ground if it's uneven you are more likely to sprain an ankle in road shoes cos you just can't feel and react to the ground as well. I'd take blisters over a sprain myself.

Yes, it's likely to get slippy but I want to be able to run reasonably quickly on the hard stuff. Some of the more slippy bits (2 of them) are best walked anyway when it gets to a certain point cos walking is probably quicker...
