My marathon was as expected, given I've ran less than 100miles in total this year!

Entries are open for 2020. £45 for the first 2,020 places and then £49 for the remainder upto 5,000 entries when entries will close until the autumn. So, who is in for 2020?

I’m in and up for it also on the back of awesome supporters, they made it such a party atmosphere taking ones mind off the physical pain and effort.

I'm in :-)

My day went just fine :-) I had no expectations for time given the build up I've had (nothing like injury, moving house, quitting my job and losing my Dad to muck up the training!), I just wanted to have a good day out and run in memory of my Dad, who should've been there with me :-( He was in my thoughts a lot, and there were a lot of tears, but I'm glad I went by myself anyway. The lovely Race Angel and first aid guy who supported me through my real wobbles said my Dad would be proud of me, but tbh, he'd probably just ask why I was slow and if I was ever going to get fit again :-)

I was in two minds about next year, but when I got back I was telling my Mum about how the route will go into the city centre next year and she brightened up and said 'oooo in that case I'll have to come in and watch, we can make a day of it'. So that was that :-)

For anybody interested, entries for 2020 close at midnight tonight (until the Autumn).

PH (& others who have done 4 or more GMM's) I am told that we will recieve our link for "Legends Club" entry via email in May, and the price will be £45.

(If you are thinking of running the Manchester Half in October and are not a UKA registered athlete it will actually be £2 cheaper to enter using the current "duo offer" than wait for the Legends entry for the marathon and pay the standard half entry fee)

I am in for 2020 despite it clashing with Paris next year :-(

Although technically a "legend" I just entered anyway when it opened

Wondering if they have a separate "super legends" list for those who have entered at least 4 times and PBed on each occasion :-) Cos I'm not listed....
