I've got Pen D on a 2:11 GNR last year and a 2:03 verifiable PB in Sheffield this year. However, when I filled in the application all I had done was the 2:11 GNR. I guessed at 2:00 when I filled in the application in the winter.
I thought I may have been placed further forward than the fun-runners because I'm a member of a club, but so are many of you who are complaining about your allocation.
However, I did buy one of those bonds for a guaranteed place for this year and the next two.
Coincidence?

No coincidence Deejee I took out the membership too so I could get my 10th Run. Rather than keep my fingers crossed for the ballot. I too am a running club member. No joy. I got pen j. Am debating if i should mail them to say have a look on my club website and see what I have ran and see if they will move me up.
It seems as if it turns into a longer and longer day each year!!!
