out of curiousity and a litte bit of sheer panice, have just rung participent enquiries-seems they sent out the last of the numbers today and if I dont receive it by monday then i have to ring back!
well if thats the case you can guarantee i will be pink and have no chance of a 2hr20sih half!!

I will be in zone G in a Fetch top and hoping to PB at something around 2:15...
I ran 2:32 from the back of the very back pen last year, so it's not impossible...

Oooooh exciting! Not planning on a PB for GNR but if I get anywhere near 2 hrs - 2:15 I'll have PB'd anyway so here's hoping!!

Soz Pestomum was a bit upset yesterday when I got a J pen number. I was told the last two pens were supposed to be for the walkers I feel as if going backwards not forwards. Its my 10th this year i wanted to try getting the under 2:30 which keeps illuding me!! I have put a lot of effort in this year! I haven't skipped one pen I seem to have skipped 4. I tried to duck in last year and got told i couldn't by the marshalls. i think they have changed the numbers and rules on actually wearing them to stop people using last years numbers!!!
well most of you will know what it is like trying to dodge walkers. Plays havoc on your legs!!!

Batmous email the general enquiries and they can actually re-allocate you if you have race time evidence that you are NOT really a walker etc!
I wonder if my number will arrive today!

Mrs SODIron's race pack arrived this morning, she's also in J...it's gonna be a long wait for me at the end. I'll probably be two miles into the run before she even crosses the start line..! I best take some money with me so I can have a beer or two when I've finished :o)
