really enjoyed it yesterday though got jostled about a bit through the first couple of miles from Zone Orange 'B'- far more than when starting further back. great to meet a few fetchies at the end including DG, Lytham Runner and Old Croc. thought i had exactly the same finish time as DG yesterday though great run now seems to have given me the result on the nod, 2113 to DG's 2114. better luck next time!! |

*waves to lully* i run in hilly places but found the long gradual hills really tough. not enough downhill. when I got to the top of that hill i went "I can see the sea!" rather loudly! nobody seemed to notice though. never been more pleased to see it. |

Hills? I would say more of an incline ... if you come to Low Fell I can show you a nice hill ![]() |

I agree Si, they were inclines, but they were relentless in the heat and with people walking all around they were difficult to run up. every time i felt i was getting a decent rhythm we hit a hill and i lost it again. i found it demoralising.

I know that hill Si, the Saltwell 10k used to run up it in December before they changed the course ![]() |

Mr. K.
Hope everyone had a good day - saw a few Fetchies at the photo point, saw some going round and missed some at the start too. Kept to the side of the road and got great support from the crowds...they seemed to like a Viking ![]() ![]() Put in a 1.48.03 and fairly happy with splits but it was getting a bit warm under that hat so made use of the showers. Didn`t think much of the powerade so left my share for others.. I`ll be back next year for the biggest party you can fit in 13.1 miles - well 13.2 but you get my point ![]() Race Results - greatrun.org |

I have a question about deferring to next year: does anyone know when we should be getting information about entering for next year? Well done to all who ran yesterday! ![]() ![]() |
