This race has been in my portfolio for a little while and I'm looking forward to the challenge, although I'm nowhere near marathon-fit. I suspect I'll be doing a fair bit of walking! Definitely aiming to stay at least one step ahead of the sweeper bus anyway. The blurb that arrived with my number says the start is at 12, website says 11. That hour could be crucial to me as I've got to be home, all clean and fresh to go to the opening night of my mum's new play. (Strictly am dram - we're not talking the West End here). Does anyone know the actual start time? And who else is doing the race? |

an event we love and have done 4 times ( the HM - once around that is ) have run it in both directions - IMO the clockwise route is easier we shall return one day - not this time as i wont be well enough WARNING - if you DON'T like hills - stay away - as this event will break you |

I like hills. I'm not good at running up or down them, but I enjoy trying.

Thanks Mick. Hydration I can do. The strong mental soul bit takes practice I think- but I can be bloody minded at times when I've decided to do something. Even if it takes longer and is harder than expected. I've had a few DNS's, but not a DNF. Yet.

I'll email Rocket Ron and see what he says. 11 would suit me much better.
