Basically she did. I think the lad from Tipton put a bit of a surge in as we approached 'that' right turn, but when he lulled at the corner Ms Steel just kept the hammer down. Never saw her again; very impressive.

Yes that's right. My Eritrean friend was impressed by Gemma S too, he said she runs like an African.

lol. Running style or just the way she pushed on?

Watching the TV coverage, Gemma was constantly looking at her watch which I found odd. Even in the last 800m, she must have looked at it about 5 times! At that point surely it is just a distraction from running as fast as you can? That said, it was evident that Gemma was working hard and looked very focused in person and on TV.
