I found that hard today, although not surprising as I ate until I hurt last night at an all you can eat Chinese!

It was nice to do a race in a Fetch shirt for a change, I usually run in my Dagenham vest so I get shouts from those I know but don't normally meet people I don't know and don't get any random 'go fetch' shouts.

Helen Decker was out on the course supporting today which was good to see too. She was running with a girl for a few miles saying really positive things which helped me out of a sticky patch. I could have done with her from mile 9 onwards though!

They wouldn't let Phyllida run with her dog this time.

Hope to met up with some of you again in the near future......healthwise, hoping to be at Stowmarket next weekend.

I was impressed with the memento
picking up on the conversations in the hall whilst I was sitting knitting and waiting for you lot I got the distincy impression that GBRC were gutted by the small turnout - those mementoes must have cost a bomb and they'll have over 400 left :-(

I suppose that's the rub with a postponed race that offers a deferment :-(

This was the fist time I've done Gt Bentley, hats off to GBRC for a well organised, well marshaled race.

I thought the memento was great, too:hope the cost doesn't put Great Bentley or anyone else off making the extra effort to do something like this. Tons better than a medal!

I saw you knitting HB, but didn't know it was you....hubby said he is thinking of taking knitting up for when
he has to wait for me.

Hubby is grey haired with a walking stick, I was all in blue, with fetch buff round my neck, having a cuppa after they had set off.
Memento was great, another reason I was disappointed in last weeks Colchester "quality goody bag"
Apparently there were 361 starters with 356 finishing.

Hopefully I'll get to run another year, but wont be next year as already got things booked.
