Jogging Jon Jun 2012 4:09pm, 4 Jun 2012 930 posts	0 Jogging Jon Well done to everyone who took part in this great event and especially to Sarah and Liz two awesome and inspiring athletes. Sarah & I felt honoured to have been given the opportunity to crew for Liz and got to see how tough this race is first hand. Between us we run 80 miles of the race with her as a buddy whilst the non-runner provided support stations every 5-6 miles. I am so proud of Liz she showed some real grit and determination and kept going where many others would have (and indeed did) dropped out. I am especially in awe of those runners who didn’t have their own crews and got to the end with minimal support, there are some long distances between some of those checkpoints. This event has long been on my list of races I want to do, my resolve to take part is now even stronger. Having been unsuccessful in the ballot this year I will try again next and if I don’t get in may be available to crew for someone else. I have learnt many lessons and think Sarah & I did a pretty good job.
