I'm trying to convince Mrs O to take the boat up to the finish. Just so I can step into after crossing that line.

Ogee, is it possible (permissible) to take the boat all the way from Birmingham to London? Speed issues aside, barge support at certain points would be fantastic. Supported, unsupported or Barge-supported? |

Yes, but you can't move at night. I can certainly take her all the way up to Brum & back though. At 3mph it would take a couple of months to get to there & back. Little Venice would be trouble enough & would take a couple of days, be good fun though just to see the look on Dicks face when I get the medal & just step on the boat:-) Nice hot shower right at the finish as well |

That's a great idea! And wear an Italian Gondoliere's hat when you step off the boat in Little Venice!

Ogee, on the basis that you aren't running the GUCR with the recent injury. Whats the cost of your boat hire as a mobile crew for the Sunday morning. I don't think my pace will be much above 3mph by then. Cap'n Ogee and First Mate Stouty?
